A blind trust is a type of trust in which the beneficiary plays no role in managing the assets of the trust and has no direct knowledge of which assets the trust holds.

Comment

Blind trusts are typically established by politicians, journalists, and other public figures to avoid conflicts of interest. Such a trust is fully managed by the trustee, with the beneficiary having no control over the trust or the trustee. In the UK, blind trusts are not allowed to make donations to political parties, as their ownership is not disclosed.

Takový trust plně spravuje svěřenský správce, a obmyšlený nemá žádnou kontrolu nad tímto svěřenským fondem ani nad správcem. Ve Spojeném království nemohou slepé trusty poskytovat dary politickým stranám, jelikož jejich vlastnictví není zveřejněno.
