SWOT analyses are used as part of a strategic planning process for a project, organization, or individual to achieve a desired objective. The analysis is typically divided into factors that are internal (strengths and weaknesses) and external (opportunities and threats) to what is being evaluated. SWOT analyses are designed to be easy to implement, though this means that they run the risk of overreliance on subjective evaluation.
