A success fee is performance-based compensation paid to a service provider or consultant upon successful achievement of a specific outcome or goal, usually in business or finance.
The investment advisor earned a substantial success fee after helping her client double his portfolio’s value.
Success fees are like performance-based bonuses in the business world. They are commonly used in various industries, such as real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and consulting. This fee structure aligns the interests of the service provider with those of the client, as it motivates the hired expert to work diligently to achieve the desired results. This should in principle be a win–win arrangement: clients pay only when they see tangible success, and service providers are incentivized to deliver outstanding outcomes. It is important, though, to set clear criteria for measuring success and to unambiguously define the fee mechanisms in advance to avoid misunderstandings or disputes down the road.
Výkonnostní poplatek je odměna závislá na výsledku, která je vyplácena poskytovateli služeb nebo konzultantovi po úspěšném dosažení určitého výstupu nebo cíle, obvykle v oblasti obchodu nebo financí.
Investiční poradkyně získala značný výkonnostní poplatek, když pomohla klientovi zdvojnásobit hodnotu jeho portfolia.
Výkonnostní poplatky jsou ve světě podnikání něco jako bonusy založené na výsledcích. Běžně se používají v různých odvětvích, například v oblasti nemovitostí, fúzí a akvizic a poradenství. Tato struktura odměn slaďuje zájmy poskytovatele služeb se zájmy klienta, protože motivuje najatého odborníka k usilovné práci na dosažení požadovaných výsledků. V zásadě by se mělo jednat o oboustranně výhodné ujednání: klienti platí pouze tehdy, když vidí hmatatelný úspěch, a poskytovatelé služeb jsou motivováni k dosahování vynikajících výsledků. Je však důležité stanovit jasná kritéria pro měření úspěchu a předem jednoznačně definovat mechanismy odměňování, aby se předešlo pozdějším nedorozuměním nebo sporům.
