Business Term of the Day

Definition

A sabbatical is a period of time a person takes off of work usually for a specific purpose.

Example sentence

Several years ago, our expert took a sabbatical to publish a book on SEO, which can perhaps help demonstrate our expertise in the subject.

Comment

A sabbatical is a form of career break. Although it is typically provided as a paid leave to academics, an increasing number of businesses also provide their employees with the opportunity to take (usually unpaid) sabbaticals. A person may take a sabbatical for such reasons as writing a book, travelling, performing research, and volunteering. Typical durations range from a few months up to a year.

Definice

Před několika lety si náš expert vzal sabatikl, aby vydal knihu o SEO, která by snad mohla pomoci prokázat naši odbornost v této oblasti.
