Proof of concept /

Důkaz koncepce

Business Term of the Day

Definition

A proof of concept is a version intended to demonstrate the feasibility of a technology, idea, product, or service.

Example sentence

The CEO was not entirely convinced, but she at least approved sufficient funding for us to prepare a proof of concept.

Comment

A proof of concept, also referred to as proof of principle, is typically not intended to represent a production design. Proofs of concept are a subset of prototype, which is a broader category of models used to transition from a theoretical model to a practical solution. Proofs of concept are used in various fields, including medicine, hardware and software development, engineering, and marketing.

Definice
