Profit driver /

Zdroj zisku

Business Term of the Day

Definition

A profit driver is a major factor contributing to a company’s profits.

Example sentence

Having analyzed BigBoom’s profit drivers, I don’t think the company has much more room to grow and so wouldn’t be a very smart investment for our fund.

Comment

A company may have various profit drivers, but almost all have key profit drivers: price, variable costs, fixed costs, and sales volume. Businesses usually focus their efforts on optimizing these factors in order to increase their profitability by selling more at lower costs for higher prices. Other profit drivers include costs of debt, productivity, product quality, employee satisfaction, and other factors.

Definice

Zdroj zisku je výrazný faktor přispívající k zisku společnosti.

Příklad použití ve větě

Po analýze zdrojů zisku společnosti BigBoom si nemyslím, že má mnoho prostoru pro další růst, a proto by pro náš fond nebylo moc chytré do ní investovat.

Poznámka

Společnost může mít různé zdroje zisku, ale téměř všechny mají klíčové zdroje zisku: cena, variabilní náklady, fixní náklady, a objem prodejů. Podniky obvykle směřují své úsilí na optimalizaci těchto faktorů, aby zvýšily svou ziskovost – prodejem více zboží za nižších nákladů a vyšších cen. Další zdroje zisku zahrnují náklady na dluh, produktivitu, kvalitu produktu, spokojenost zaměstnanců, a další faktory.
